Going Green

We are excited to announce that our company now has 3 "green" boats under construction. Instead of wood built hulls these particular boats are made with a composite of closed cell foam and fiberglass. In addition to this type of construcion each of these boats will also be installed with the new IPS system from Volvo. Combining the lightweight materials with this system from Volvo will increase the fuel efficiency of these boats. It will take less horsepower to achieve the same desired cruise speed that Spencer Yachts is known for. Our goal in this endeavor is to use 45 gallons/hr while cruising at a speed of 30 kts. The 3 boats currently being built range in size from 37 to 57 ft. For photos of these boats in production check out our web site.
